The following testimonials are from a workshop entitled "Leadership in the Classroom", which was designed for student teachers at Coker University's Wiggins School of Education.
The Kooper Leadership Academy has taught me how to be more confident in my classroom. I
have learned how to be more intentional with my time which has allowed me to be more
productive. Gaining knowledge of how to be a better leader for my students will always be one
of the biggest priorities in my classroom. I believe that The Kooper Leadership Academy has
allowed me to acquire the knowledge needed to water the roots of my students so that they are
able to grow academically and personally.
Listening to Mr. Kooper is very motivating. He always has this positive vibe that rubs off on you as you listen to him speak. It makes learning from him a lot easier than other motivational speakers. He also gives simple, but useful advice about time management and routine-building
that anyone can use no matter where they are at in their life.
Through the guidance of the Kooper Leadership Foundation and Mr. Kooper, I have
been able to thrive in my student teaching. I have learned to prioritize the purpose of my position and dive deep into the passion that I bring to my craft. Mr. Kooper has helped me to learn that repetition and routine are the only path to resilience. I recommend KLA to anyone who is struggling to manage and strive in their field. Time management was a struggle for me as a full time college student. I am also currently
student teaching which consists of multiple responsibilities such as planning, classroom
management, grading papers, and course work for classes. The Kooper Leadership Academy provided me with great resources and solutions to help me find a balance between student teaching, classes, and my personal life. I learned how to prioritize and utilize my time effectively so I can be the best educator for my students while I am in the classroom.
Mr. Kooper has constantly influenced my cohort's time as student teachers. He has referenced an idea similar to the theory that the universe strives towards chaos, which I personally believe.
